Welcome to Wheatfields

On behalf of all the children, staff, and governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to Wheatfields Junior School.

Learn More Our Ethos & Values
Overall, the school is incredible. The pupils have an engaging curriculum with brilliant extended opportunities at lunch and after school. The teachers are knowledgeable, nurturing and help the pupils to flourish.
All staff are friendly and welcoming. The classes are staffed with amazing teaching assistants, who the children trust and have a lovely relationship with. Extra opportunities, such as singing at St Albans Cathedral and the Alban Arena are absolutely fantastic and give the pupils great opportunities to increase their confidence, and parents the chance to see their children shine.
Teachers and leaders are quick to deal with any issues, giving parents confidence that their children are well looked after and safe at school. Additional staff are a valuable asset and show that the leaders have considered pupil mental health and wellbeing in a planned and deliberate way.

Ambition Education Trust

Our Trust comprises of 10 schools situated in Hertfordshire across St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Hemel Hempstead. We comprise of three primary, one infants, one junior and five secondary schools, with over 800 staff delivering high quality education to 7500 young people aged from 3 to 18. This is a huge privilege, as we strive in our aim of Educational Excellence for All.
